In this article, I would like to introduce about our acoustic panel “SHIZUKA Stillness Panel (SSP)” which we installed in the music hall.

We installed our SHIZUKA Stillness Panel in the music hall of the public hall of Shimonoseki.

As a construction method, we fixed the L-shaped frame to the wall and insert the panel from the end and fix it again. It is a very easy task and weighs 8 kg/㎡ so you can install it by single person. By installing the sound absorbing panel on the back of the seat, flutter echo (sound bouncing) will disappear and you can enjoy the raw sound of the stage. Since SHIZUKA Stillness Panel can absorb sound in a wide range, it is very compatible with the range of singing voices, pianos, guitars, and so on. Mainly in the bass range, it is difficult to obtain the effect unless a thick sound absorbing structure is applied to the wall, but we realized it with a thin structure.

This time it will be a newly established public hall in Shimonoseki city in Yamaguchi Prefecture. It also has a music hall and is constructed using the latest materials (not only panels, vibration proofing). We were only offering panels, but we appreciate the skills and wisdom of everyone involved in the design and installation.
